It is a Grade Y high efficiency oil removal coalescing element and strips the fine oil aerosol and water carryover a general purpose stage leaves behind, rated at 0.01 µm. In service it sits directly downstream of a Grade X stage. This is the stage that decides how much oil reaches the point of use. It matches the original on dimensional fit and drops into the existing housing without modification. AF1017P/S/M-50 housings accept this element.
