As a Grade X general purpose coalescing element it removes oil aerosol, water and solid particulate from the air stream, rated at 1 µm. It sits as the first coalescing stage, ahead of a dryer or a carbon tower. Clearing this load first protects the dryer or carbon stage that follows. Dimensions follow the original, so it installs into the existing housing without modification. Housings in the BG-1060A family take this element.
