It is a Grade GC granulated activated carbon element and adsorbs oil vapour and odour through a packed carbon bed, rated at 0.01 µm. The element belongs as a final polishing stage. It carries the load its position in the train is there to catch. The element is built to the original dimensions and needs no modification to the housing. S040GC housings accept this element. It is held in Australian stock and priced to work against the cost of going direct to the OEM.
