Normal cubic metres (Nm³/h) and standard cubic metres (Sm³/h) both describe a fixed quantity of dry air, but at different reference temperatures: 0 °C for normal and 15 °C for standard. The same air takes up about 5.5% more volume in Sm³ than in Nm³. Use this converter to compare compressor, dryer and filter flow ratings from different manufacturers on a like-for-like basis.
