It is a Grade HC hopcalite element and converts carbon monoxide to carbon dioxide across a catalytic bed. In service it sits in a breathing air train, downstream of the coalescing and carbon stages. Carbon monoxide is the one contaminant a breathing air train cannot afford to pass. The element is built to the original dimensions and needs no modification to the housing. Housings in the IP50 070H HCX family take this element. Held in Australian stock, it is supplied at a working budget price rather than OEM list.
