The element is a Grade SL soda lime element, and removes carbon dioxide from the air stream. The element belongs alongside the hopcalite stage in a breathing air train. Carbon dioxide removal completes the breathing air train. The element is built to the original dimensions and needs no modification to the housing. IP50-SL-0465G housings accept this element.
