The element is a Grade X general purpose coalescing element, and removes oil aerosol, water and solid particulate from the air stream, rated at 1 µm. The element belongs as the first coalescing stage, ahead of a dryer or a carbon tower. Taking that load out early keeps the finer stage behind it working to its rated life.
