The element is a Grade MV medical vacuum element, and protects the pump from the liquid, particulate and bacteria drawn back along the ward line. The element belongs on the inlet side of a medical vacuum plant. Inlet protection is what decides how long the pump lasts. The element is built to the original dimensions and needs no modification to the housing. Housings in the NEA222MV family take this element.
