It is a Grade P10 replacement filter element and holds the contamination its housing is placed to catch, rated at 10 µm. In service it sits in the position the original element occupied. Solids stopped at this point never reach the finer elements behind it. Dimensions follow the original, so it installs into the existing housing without modification.
