Description
A 2" NPT male ground joint spud, one half of the ground joint (boss) coupling system used on heavy air and steam hose. Ground joint couplings seal metal to metal on a machined seat, clamped up by a wing nut, which keeps the joint tight under the heat, vibration and rough handling that kill ordinary hose fittings. The male spud threads into pipework or equipment and mates with the corresponding wing nut and stem on the hose side.
