Ultramax Systems supplies the SUN18P as a direct replacement within the Sunfilter SF range. The element is a Grade P general purpose particulate element, and holds bulk solid debris, pipe scale and rust, rated at 3 µm. It sits at the front of the train, protecting the finer stages behind it. It is the cheapest protection in the train and the first to earn its keep. Dimensions follow the original, so it installs into the existing housing without modification. Housings in the C-18DGL family take this element. Held in Australian stock, it is supplied at a working budget price rather than OEM list.
