It is a Grade HC hopcalite element and converts carbon monoxide to carbon dioxide across a catalytic bed. It sits in a breathing air train, downstream of the coalescing and carbon stages. It sits where the safety case for the whole train rests. The element is built to the original dimensions and needs no modification to the housing. Housings in the G500HC family take this element.
