It is a Grade P-HT replacement filter element and holds the contamination its housing is placed to catch, rated at 3 µm. In service it sits in the position the original element occupied. It is the cheapest protection in the train and the first to earn its keep. It matches the original on dimensional fit and drops into the existing housing without modification.
