Description

The Air Tank Pressure Relief Valve protects the air receiver on Caterpillar MD6200, MD6250 and MD6310 rotary blasthole drills. Ultramax Systems supplies it as a direct replacement for OEM part number 549-2028. The valve holds shut through normal running and lifts once receiver pressure passes its set point, venting air to atmosphere until pressure drops back to a safe level. That protects the tank and the crew working around it when a compressor control fault or a blocked line pushes pressure above the rated figure. The carbon steel body handles the vibration and dust that come with blasthole drilling, and the valve reseats on its own once the over pressure clears, so the drill goes back to work without a parts change. Fit a new valve whenever the existing one weeps, fails to reseat or falls outside its test interval. Confirm the set pressure and thread against your drill build before ordering, because receiver specifications vary across serial ranges.
