As a Grade MV medical vacuum element it protects the pump from the liquid, particulate and bacteria drawn back along the ward line. The element belongs on the inlet side of a medical vacuum plant. The pump sees only what this element lets past. Dimensions follow the original, so it installs into the existing housing without modification. NEA232MV housings accept this element.
