The IRHC-5HC is the Ultramax Systems replacement element for the IR OLD range. As a Grade HC hopcalite element it converts carbon monoxide to carbon dioxide across a catalytic bed. In service it sits in a breathing air train, downstream of the coalescing and carbon stages. Carbon monoxide is the one contaminant a breathing air train cannot afford to pass. Dimensions follow the original, so it installs into the existing housing without modification. It is the element used in IRHC-5 housings. Held in Australian stock, it is supplied at a working budget price rather than OEM list.
