Description

The Locator-EV is the current replacement in the Locator family of hand-held ultrasonic leak detectors. It uses a tighter 36-44 kHz response band aimed at the dominant ultrasonic frequency produced by escaping compressed air, reducing interference from broader-spectrum background noise. The unit ships with a noise-isolating over-ear headset, a 9 V alkaline battery and a hard protective carry case. A push-to-test trigger and 300 millisecond response time allow operators to sweep equipment, piping and fittings to locate compressed-air leaks. Operating temperature is 10-60 deg C and the unit is hand-held in a moulded ABS housing.
