The element is a Grade YSR replacement filter element, and holds the contamination its housing is placed to catch, rated at 0.01 µm. It sits in the position the original element occupied. Air leaving this stage is clean enough for instrument work and for a carbon tower to polish. The element is built to the original dimensions and needs no modification to the housing.
